Entenmann’s Little Bites, Tropical Pineapple

Hello Pineapple! And maybe coconut? These little cakes had a really strong smell. In their next food life they could be a Bath & Body Works shampoo or lotion.

So this had the classic Entenmann cake/muffin base recipe. Which is sweet, moist, and a wonderful mouthfeel. I was hoping for a little texture from the “real pineapple” that was advertised but it appeared that they used a very well blended pineapple puree.

All well. If you ever find yourself in an Asian bakery or grocery store - check out the pineapple cake.

A couple muffins in, the smell and flavor began to feel a bit much. I wondered if their “natural & artificial flavors” included some additional pineapple or tropical-like flavors?

ONE DAY LATER: put these in the fridge, the cold will mellow the tropically, coconuty flavor and you’ll be left with a much more balanced, tasty pineapple muffin

Glad I tried it: Yes

Would I buy it again: No
