Mother’s is nostalgia for me. So whenever they put out something new, I must indulge my inner 5 year old with cookies that have simply taken on new colors and shapes. Though this latest offering was actually something new. The cookies are chocolate!!! (5 year old Susan said this needed two extra exclamation points). And it’s also dinosaur shapes in connection to the release of the latest Jurassic Park movie - Jurassic World Rebirth.

I must admit I was a little disappointed that there was no velociraptor or venom spraying dinosaur cookies. The neck frill on the venom spraying dinosaur would have made a lovely cookie shape.
So it’s summer over here and I’m averaging high 70s, low 80s in the homestead. And the frosting on my cookies were a little melty. Sorry Mothers, my fault on the texture. Gooey, sticky frosting aside, the cookies were as I remember. The smooth sugariness of the frosting and crumbliness of the cookie came together easily for a satisfying bite. And I must say, what is it about the texture of the little nonpareils (round sprinkles) that are so oddly comforting?

Glad I tried it: Yes
Would I buy it again: I would try more chocolate cookies in different colors and shapes
(gotta keep the inner child happy)
